I know that it has been an exhausting week but the end is almost near. I often laugh when people talk about how "lucky" teachers are to get two months off. I rarely hear about how "lucky" we are between the months of August through May. While it has been a long year in some regards, it is still hard to believe that we are at the end of another school year. I can't thank you enough for the awesome work that has taken place this year. You have worked tirelessly to make sure that all students learned as much as they could as fast as they could. While there are many variables in education that we can't control, the one thing that we can control is how much we give of ourselves. Thank you for giving your all. Thank you for believing that every child is worthy of your best. Thank you for supporting and encouraging each other during tough times. Thank you for proving that it's better at Medlock. Have a wonderful summer!
Staff Spotlight
This week I would like to shine the spotlight our Pre K classrooms. The teachers and assistants in these classrooms have big hearts and an abundance of patience. We sometimes forget how hard they work everyday (without a specials break) because they rarely complain. Georgia Pre K has strict rules and procedures that Dana, Devon and Lindsay must follow. A visit to their classroom will result in squeals of laughter, lots of student art and all kinds of hands on learning. While it might look like lots of playing going on in their classrooms; they are definitely facilitating play with a purpose. For our students, their Pre K experience will make or break how they feel about school moving forward. Devon and Shurook as well as Dana, Lindsay and Melissa make everyday fun and meaningful for our youngest Mustangs. Ladies thank you for what you do daily. Our Pre K program is thriving (the waitlist is constant) and it is truly because of your hard work and dedication.
